Every month, we're spotlighting a Badass Beauty Expert (B.A.B.E.) and picking their brain on all things beauty, wellness, and channeling your inner baddie. We hope these interviews will serve as a platform for raw and vulnerable discussion—and inspire you to step out of your makeup and skincare comfort zones.

Define yourself in three words.
Driven. Inspired. Restless.
What are three things you can't live without? (Beauty products can be included, but they don't have to be!)
Coffee. Snuggles from my baby girl. ALL skincare.
What prompted you to make the switch to safe makeup brands? I've always been driven to living a clean lifestyle, but for whatever reason it took me until 2015 to switch my skincare and makeup routine to cleaner products. As someone who worked heavily in the makeup industry for many conventional beauty brands, I wanted to be an advocate for the incredible companies creating glamorous beauty without the toxic side effects.
What are your safe makeup and skincare favorites? I'm a skincare girl through and through but I love a good lip and a killer pair of lashes. Face masks are easily a daily thing for me.
What advice would you give for finding safe cosmetics?
Just do it. The price points are 100% comparable to what you are already spending so the question is, why not? Why would you not opt to use something that improves your skin and isn't packed with harmful ingredients? Do your research and if you can, connect with beauty experts and small boutiques. They would love your support and you'll get one-on-one interactions on how to make the first step into your clean beauty switch.
What do you think makes someone a badass? Zero ego. Someone who is kind, works hard, is proud of their work, but has no ego attached to it.
How did you find your inner badass? Honestly, the day I became a mother. I knew women were the shit, but now I really know.
What's the last song you listened to?
"Ferris Wheel" by Sylvan Esso.
Quick! You have five minutes to get ready to go out. What do you do with your makeup?
Sunscreen, BB Cream, glow setting powder, bronzer, blush, mascara, and a lip gloss as I walk out the door.
